Our commitment

Braeswood Farmers Market wants every visitor — online and in person — to be able to find what they need without a fight. We’re working toward that goal in two places: this website, and the three physical markets we run — one weekly, one on weekdays, and one monthly.

This website

We’re targeting WCAG 2.2 Level AA conformance for braeswoodfarmersmarket.com — the widely recognized standard for accessible websites, covering things like readable color contrast, keyboard navigation, screen-reader-friendly markup, and clear page structure. This is a goal we’re actively working toward, not a claim that every page meets it today. Our markets

Our three venues are genuinely different places, and we’d rather tell you what we actually know than paper over the gaps:

  • La Centerra at Cinco Ranch (Katy) is an open-air shopping center with paved walkways throughout the plaza. We haven’t yet completed a formal accessibility audit of the market’s specific footprint (booth spacing, curb cuts, accessible parking count) — if you have a specific access need, contact us before market day and we’ll do our best to help you plan your visit.
  • Memorial Hermann — Texas Medical Center sits on a hospital campus, which generally means well-maintained accessible infrastructure — but the market’s exact footprint within the campus can shift week to week along with its schedule. Contact us or the market-day staff on-site for the current layout.
  • Houston Museum of Natural Science hosts our market on the Sundial Plaza just outside the museum’s main entrance, an area generally built to serve museum visitors, including those using mobility devices. As with our other venues, we haven’t independently audited every detail of the market-day setup itself.

We recognize “we haven’t audited that yet” isn’t the same as “it’s accessible” — we’d rather say that plainly than guess.

If you need something specific for your visit — an accessible drop-off point, help navigating booth layout, advance notice of a particular need — contact us at least a few days ahead and we’ll do what we can to arrange it. You’re also welcome to ask any market-day staff member for help on the spot.
